A thread for discussing things about this very nice message board is kind of necessary.
------------
I wonder how configurable this board is actually. Because it is a bit hard to keep track of new posts that were done since a week... since a month... maybe even since a year. "View Today's Posts" at the top bar is not optimal for a small board. There will barely be a single topic there in the list, so the range needs to be longer. Can it be changed?
Have I understood right Hole Drop will come as a new standard track to STK Evolution? Nice, I always loved the track and it will be definitely great to have a standard track apart of those we already have.
Are there gonna be more soccer maps included?
SuperTuxKart has a built-in benchmark starting with version 1.5-beta. While it doesn't capture all the things that can challenge performance (such as network rewinding), it's still a useful measure of how performant your computer is with STK.
It's also useful for the STK team to know what kind of hardware is used to play the game and what performance people have, although we aim at not making the game more demanding than Black Forest currently is.
In this thread, share your own results! And let us know what kind of hardware, OS, etc. you ran the test on. If you used Vulkan, If you want to test with multiple different settings to compare, that's even better.
Also please note that if you are using Vulkan, the parameter list at the end of the test will be misleading. Even at the same settings, there are some visual differences compared with the GL renderer.
On Linux, using a 13600K and a RTX 2060S, at graphics 6, I get 102/152/171 at 1080p and 79/114/127 at 1440p.

My idea is that after freeing Gnu and finding a dragon egg hidden in STK Enterprise, the next time you go to Zen Garden you will get a cinematic where LLVM Wyvern flies and arrives at Zen Garden, annoyed he says YOU STOLE MY EGG AND YOU HAVE TO FIGHT ME and starts a battle against him
it's the first time writing to you after maaaaaany years of playing STK under Linux.
I've some questions I decided to post here all together:
Somewhere I read that you will use Godot for the new version. The experimental build looks like you'll continue with c/SDL? Why did you decide for the one or the other? I myself also code in Godot and C/SDL, so I'm curious about the reasons.
In the last blog article, the "Roadmap", you mentioned the 2 drifting levels that long-time STK-fans should know. I only know about the one key to drift and I use it. Is there another drift? And what will be the third drift like?
I would like to compile the experimental build you also mentioned in the blog. Just to be sure: It's the "BalanceSTK2" branch and I build this branch like the old versions of STK? And is the experimental build already playable in a basic way?
So, thank you for the answers to my questions in advance and also for the work on the new "Evolution". I'm so curious how the gameplay will be.

In online games, you can always see only one message at once, which lasts for a few seconds, and then you see the next one. But this can lead to missunderstandings, for example, if a player sees the answer to his question only 2 minutes later (usually it isn't that long, just to understand better) or when there are multiple questions at once, and then you can't always understand which answer is to what question. That things are especially a problem, if there are a lot of players on one server.
My suggestion would be just to add the possibility to see more messages at once during the race/game.
I would like the most important open source mascots to be in the game, I saw that Dashie is going to be in the evolution and Mr. Iceblock. it would be good to see Beastie, Elephpant, Mozilla and Gooey back to. Please
