Teams in Normal Race

I would really enjoy having teams in normal race mode multiplayer, mainly for making team members immune to accidental strikes, or setting the difficulty as high as possible and trying to all finish before the computers. It allows for more haphazard deployment of powerups, which is fun. What are your thoughts?

I think team mode is a really interesting thing and definitely something we will take a look at, at some point.
It might rather be something for a 2.x release though, than for 2.0 itself.
