[Unofficial SuperTuxKart Soccer Tournament]

Hello everyone,
We're glad to announce that the Unofficial SuperTuxKart Soccer Tournament series is back!

On this day, April 9th, six years ago, the first ever Unofficial SuperTuxKart Soccer Tournament match was played.
After a break of almost two years, in May 2026, there will be a new Unofficial Soccer Tournament, organized by FabianF, with technical support by BcfWorld.

The basic system of the tournament has not changed: You sign up individually, organizers create teams of three or four players and schedule your matches. We’re still playing three games with a 10 minutes time limit on three different arenas chosen in-game. Required are only the six official fields and the add-on Tournament Field.

The registration ends at Wednesday, April 22. The tournament is expected to start around May 1 and finish around May 31.

I played in some past editions and it was a lot of fun.

I edited the announcement to make the pictures more prominent (once you've put an attachment out, you can use its URL and pass it as part of an img tag).

The tournament has started on Saturday, with an impressive 3:0 win for Team E (Nitro Wizards) over Team B (Disguised Bowl Spammers). 
There also was a live stream on PeerTube by Opensource_Gaming, which is available now as a video and linked on the tournament pages.

Final results of the tournament, team E (my team!) won, in front of team B and team D.

Although we had 11 wins and 1 draw, I think we were behind in the score a few minutes into half the games we played. Trolli's performance had some variance to it, but he was the best player for sure.

I'm grateful to all players for participating and being very reliable — without that, the tournament would not work!

I feel like the STK community was brought a bit nearer to each other by this tournament.

Anyways, thanks, especially to FabianF, who organized and managed this event very well! It was amazing to watch these games. 

Sadly I wasn't able to really participate in this tournament (apart of one game), I hope I will be able to register as a normal player for the next tournaments.

I hope this type of tournaments will be done again in the future!
