An animator who's interested in STK Evolution

Hello!

I study animation and interaction in Germany and just switched to Linux. I remember playing STK when I was little and my dad had Linux Ubuntu installed on our family PC.

To keep it short: I still love this game. And I model, texture, and animate!
A short showreel for my animations here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQGUNYXI62g (I hope the link gets through.)
I want to contribute and offer some of my time to this project. I would mainly like to offer my animation skills. But I can also tell that the quality of the models of this project is all over the place. I can offer to help with the worst ones as well.

I don't know who to contact or who to talk to, but I think I would like to help work on STK Evolution. If you can help me set this project up or want to contact me in any way, let me know and we can talk! It would be amazing if my work would be deemed valuable enough to find a place in STK Evolution <3

Hit me up! Wink

Hello! Smile

There is an endless amount of things that can be improved in SuperTuxKart, and animation (or the lack thereof) is definitely one of the game's weak points. So help would definitely be welcomed!

@Sven is our lead artist and will be best placed to discuss with you what should be worked on, and he could also guide you with the SuperTuxKart exporter for Blender and such. Compiling SuperTuxKart yourself should be rather simple on Linux, following the instructions in the official documentation should be rather straightforward.

In general, it is best to keep us informed on what you want to work on and to show it as a work-in-progress to get feedback in order to maximize chances it will get included in the game. it also helps to make sure two people don't waste time by working on the same thing. From your video, I don't doubt that you have the ability to contribute.
