I created the SuperTuxKart Wiki on Miraheze

Hello everyone, today I'm here to show you a project I decided to start as my small contribution to the SuperTuxKart community: the SuperTuxKart Wiki. As the name suggests, it's a wiki, or rather, an encyclopedia about the game. I originally considered reviving the SuperTuxKart Wikia (stk.fandom.com), but many people told me it was better to create a wiki from scratch. Besides, its only administrator has been active since 2016, which is about a decade. So in the end, I decided reviving that wiki wasn't worth it and created the wiki on Miraheze instead.

At the moment, being a newly created wiki, it has practically nothing and is a blank canvas, although I have already been creating the infoboxes and I have drafts of several articles in Google Docs, in addition to a lot of files from various versions of SuperTuxKart on my laptop. And even though I started the wiki as a fan project and not official, several people told me I should ask the team what they think about it, as a kind of permission, I guess.

You can access the wiki by going to supertuxkart.miraheze.org and here's the logo I made for the wiki, I hope you like it:

I want Tux to be more defined and have a more defined personality, not just a blank canvas. Tux in STK or ETR feels very empty. Larry Ewing's design can be improved. I want the wiki to help with that. ST addresses it, but it's his representation, because Larry's design isn't very expressive, and he also lacks lore.

@stkfan2008 Since for now the wiki is just empty, there isn't much to say. But a fan wiki documenting everything related to the game is a fine concept. So go ahead!

@Tuxito3000 The point of a wiki is to document what exists in and around the game, not to just make stuff up...

I'm glad you like the idea of my wiki. I'll do my best with it, and when it's high quality and has many pages, I'll let you know here on the forum.

Tuxito, this isn't a fanon wiki, so we can't invent lore for Tux, but hey, remember that the Tux from SuperTuxKart does have lore, albeit a fairly simple one for now.

A minor thing, but I wanted to let you know that I've updated the wiki logo to a less cancerous version that doesn't look like fried chicken. The old version is no longer on the wiki and doesn't deserve to be.

Well, that's all for now, see you next time!

I'm going to make the characters and tracks pages; they'll be empty, but they'll be the base. EDIT: I will also upload images

That sounds great, Tuxito; you could be a huge help with that. I've been creating the infoboxes and uploading various files, like the music and some game images, such as the logo or the background from the classic theme, for example. I also plan to create character renders in Blender using the .blend files from the asset repository so the characters articles look good, since using a screenshot looked ugly in my opinion.

If you're going to create an article about a track or character, you can try using the infoboxes I've made so far; you can find them in Category:Infoboxes. At the time of writing, I've only made the infoboxes for music and characters; I still need to create infoboxes for tracks, objects, and other things that might need them.
