That's a good suggestion, but it adds up more complexity than other forms of translation improvements.
The "contextual" translation system could allow to have some sentences both for male and female characters (and I guess perhaps neutral for karts like robots, racing cars...), however this would also require the game to store this additional information and the kart assets to specify it.
So it's feasible, but don't expect it for 1.5.1, and I'm not sure if it would be worth the extra work even afterwards.
